Taking a journey to Narnia
Members of the Youth Guild of the Sam Bass Community Theatre hope to take audience members figuratively to the fictional town of Narnia as they perform their version of C.S. Lewis' classic "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe." The show began last week and will continue through Saturday, Aug. 14.

RedHawks clinch road series with Round Rock
After preventing the I-Cubs from sweeping them at home Monday with a 6-5 win to end the teams' four-game series the Round Rock Express is in danger of being swept out of Oklahoma after dropping games Wednesday and Thursday to the RedHawks on the road, which along with a 5-3 loss in the series opener put the team at 0-3 against the home club going into the series finale Thursday.

On behalf of the Round Rock Police Department's Operation Blue Santa, the Leader thanks everyone who participated in our July 17 book sale. The day was hot, the shade moved around, but we raised $700. Because of that, some kids and families will have a nicer Christmas this year.
